Huchuy Qosqo 2D/1N

Huchuy Qosqo is an Inca archaeological center where you can see adobe buildings, embedded in the top of a mountain where the flora and fauna of this area is exuberant and we can appreciate the snow-capped.

ITINERARY

Day 01 Cusco – Tambomachay – Huchuy Qosqo

We will start from your hotel in Cusco, towards Tambomachay, located about 07 km north of the city. This is the point to start of our adventure with a slight climbing, passing by Qoricocha Lake (golden lake) and Yanacocha Lake (Black Lake) with a large concentration of wild birds. Once we arrive to the summit we will see an archaeological group of three Chullpas pre – Incas, funerary buildings Inca funeral bundles. After this we will take a deserved rest for our lunch.

To return to our walk down along the spectacular and whimsical geological formation on the route to the archaeological complex of Huchuy Qosqo, which formed part of the network of the Inca Trail that connect throughout the Empire and you will be witness of the geographic Andean trusts. Huchuy Qosqo we arrive at approximately 16:30, here will set up camp for the night under the stars in the southern hemisphere Andean.

Day 02 Huchuy Qosqo – Lamay – Cusco

After breakfast we will make a tour of the Huchuy Qosqo archaeological site, also known as “Small Cusco”. From this place we can see the mountains of the Cordillera of Urubamba as the snow mountain Pitusiray (5,600 m) and Sahuasiray snow mountain (5,720 m), after finishing our tour we will descend towards the town of Lamay where we will board our vehicle to go back the city of Cusco.
